Situated in the vibrant centre of Barnsley, our state-of-the-art Youth Zone offers a unique venue with a variety of spaces making it the perfect backdrop for your next seminar, meeting, cultural event, or team-building day. From meeting rooms to climbing walls, we’ve got your next event covered.

With fully adaptable spaces that can accommodate 16 to 150 guests, we can handle everything from boardroom planning to large-scale celebrations.

Best of all, your booking does more than just secure a great space, it fuels our mission.

As a registered charity, all proceeds help us continue our vital work with the young people of Barnsley.

Our usual booking hours are 9am to 3pm, Monday to Friday, please contact us if you require other times.

Meeting and event space

Board Room

Seating 16, This light and airy room is ideal for strategy sessions and presentations. Including AV TV setup (additional charge), flipchart.

Enterprise Room

Designed for teamwork. The Enterprise Room accommodates up to 16 and comes fully equipped with TV screen and flipchart

Our sports hall serves as a versatile blank canvas for any occasion. With a maximum capacity of 150 guests

Performing Arts

This bright, mirrored studio offers a space for any occasion. Designed to be fully customisable with capacity up to 60.

ARt Room

This bright, space is fully furnished with ample seating and workspaces. Perfect for groups up to 16.

Training Kitchen

Our modern kitchen is stocked with utensils, induction hobs, and plenty of fridge space. The layout is inclusive, with accessible counters and hobs

Team building and activity spaces

Climbing Wall

Our 12.5m climbing wall is the ultimate destination for both challenge and fun. Capacity is 20 people (up to 6 climbers on the wall simultaneously).

music room

Our music room and recording studio is designed for every stage of the journey. Capacity for the music room is 20 with the recording studio suitable for smaller groups.

gym and boxing

Our state-of-the-art gym and boxing studio is equipped with the latest strength and cardio technology, this space is designed for focused sessions of up to 10 people.

sensory room

Our sensory room is a gentle space for the mind. Filled with interactive tools and calming equipment, with room for 10 people.

rooftop kick pitch

Our unique rooftop kick pitch boasts stunning panoramic views of Barnsley, this all-weather surface is the ultimate setting for outdoor sports, and high-impact events.

Breakfast

£5.00 per person with a selection of pastries, orange juice, tea & coffee

Cold Buffet

Minimum of 15 people, from £6.00 per person. Includes assorted sandwiches, assorted savoury bites.

Sandwich platter

£4.50 per person, a selection of sandwiches and crisps

Sandwiches & Cakes

Booking

Our usual bookings hours are Monday to Friday from 9am to 3pm, if you require any times out of this please contact us.

Accessibility

Base71 is fully accessible with lifts to all areas and accessible toilets, including a changing places facility.

Terms & Conditions of Hire

All spaces are subject to availability.

Areas including the Gym, Music and Climbing Wall all require a qualified professional and certifications must be provided prior to arrival.

Alternatively you can hire a qualified instructor from Base71 Youth Zone, subject to availability.

Other terms apply and will be made available when booking.

WIFI

WI-FI is free to use and available in all parts of the facility.

Catering & Refreshments

Drinking water is provided in the cost of hire.

Dietary requirements can be accommodated – please contact us to discuss.
