The Great Family Festival
We were thrilled that Base71 was one of the venues for Barnsley’s Great Family Festival on Saturday 22 August.
We had some amazing activities on the day.
- Zorbing on the Kick Pitch with our friends from Grassroots
- Inflatables in the Sports Hall
- Laser Tag in the Sports Hall
- Think Like An Inventor Workshops (free of charge but booking required)
- Climbing
- Fruit Kebab Making with our friends from Chartwells
- Football with our regular supporters Barnsley FC Community Foundation Trust
- Face painting and Glitter Bar
- Circus Skills Workshop
All this as well as all of the above some of our members showcased their talents as the culmination of their nine-week Project Zone activities. We also had some guests with us including representatives from the free food app Olio, BPL and a Uniform Swap Shop

base71 Inclusion family day
On Sunday 23 August, we hosted our Inclusion Family Day, from 10am – 1pm.
We had lots of fun with our inflatable as well as a wide range of specially tailored activities.
